My violin is a modern Italian instrument made by Alessandro di Matteo in Cremona in 2000. The quality of modern violins is extremely high, and although mine lacks the depth of tone quality that older Italian violins tend to produce, I have enjoyed its clarity and brilliance, which have developed immensely over the three years I've been playing on it. It is well suited for the Vivaldi and Locatelli concertos because they primarily exploit the higher registers of the violin.
